Daron Acemoglu
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, to an Armenian family, Dr. Acemoglu has been at MIT since 1993, currently as Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics. One of the most celebrated economists of our time, he regularly comments on current political and economic issues.

Lerna Ekmekçioğlu
Dr. Ekmekçioğlu is a specialist of the modern history of the Middle East and an affiliate of the Women and Gender Studies Program, as well as the Center for International Studies at MIT. Among many other aspects, her scholarly work focuses on Armenian feminism and Armenian women’s issues in Ottoman Turkey.
